An interesting and useful cross-border project “Personalized prevention tools in obesity and diabetes – a joint Romanian-Ukrainian Programme of health education (PrePOD)” was completed at the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Vasyl Stefanyk Prykarpattia National University. This was announced today at the final press conference by PNU rector Ihor Tsependa, project manager, professor, head of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology Volodymyr Lushchak and PNU vice-rector for scientific work Valentina Yakubiv.
The work, which was financed by the European Union, lasted for 26 months within the framework of the Joint Operational Program Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 “Support for the development of medical services and access to health care”. The Romanian Stefan cel Mare University from the city of Suceava became a partner of PNU.
During the final press conference, the project coordinators and organizers announced the results achieved by the parties, and also conducted screening of all the willing people.
